Alta is Finnmark's largest city, idyllically located in scenic surroundings far above the Arctic Circle. The city is often referred to as the Northern Lights City, and this was Jonas Haugen's inspiration when he founded Nordlysbyen Eiendom AS in 2017.
Nordlysbyen Eiendom is far from Jonas Haugen's first or only company. In 2011, he started the packaging company Isopro, where he was general manager until he sold out in 2015. Later that year, his first commercial property was purchased, and today Nordlysbyen Eiendom manages approximately 22,000 square meters of commercial property in the center of Alta.
With around 20,000 inhabitants, Alta is a small town, where "everyone knows everyone", and the distances are short. The sense of community is strong, and this is reflected in Nordlysbyen Eiendom's motto "together for the city". For Nordlysbyen Eiendom, it is important to be available and helpful at all times, and the more than 60 tenants reported discrepancies via various channels - telephone, e-mail, social media and SMS.
It is a prohibitive job to do this manually. With Findable, I look forward to working with the documentation.

For a group that was used to having tasks and information spread across many different channels, the ease of use of the Eiendomsappen quickly became a hit. Through close training and follow-up, the employees in Nordlysbyen quickly became super users, and by leaving out tenants in the first instance, it gave the operations department a chance to get to know the system properly. When the Eiendomsappen had become an incorporated tool with the managers, it was time to roll this out to the tenants. Gradually, the tenants got their own users, and were informed about how to use the app. In order to get the most benefit from the tool, emphasis was placed on preparing simple and informative training material, and being available if the tenants had questions about the new process.
